Summary

Kenneth Storey was an adjunct in sociology at the University of Tampa, a private school, and Hillsborough Community College, a public school. In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, he tweeted “I don’t believe in Karma but this kinda feels like it for Texas. hopefully this will help them realize the GOP doesn’t care about them.” He apologized the next day, and said he was making a point about GOP climate change denialism and FEMA funding cuts. He was nevertheless fired from the University of Tampa, but Hillsborough Community College took no action against him.
