Summary
Jim Pillen, a University of Nebraska Regent and Nebraska gubernatorial candidate, introduced a resolution opposing the “imposition” of critical race theory in curriculums across the University of Nebraska system. At a meeting in August, the Board of Regents voted down the resolution by a vote of 5-3 after hours of impassioned discussion involving students, faculty, and community members.
