Summary
Thomas Homan is a former director of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE). On October 23, 2019, Homan was scheduled to discuss detention and deportation policies under the Obama and Trump administrations at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perry World House. However, students who’d gathered outside the venue that evening prevented the event from taking place. The noise from the students’ chanting, with many calling for the abolition of ICE and for Homan to “go home,” eventually led to the abrupt end of the event 15 minutes after it was supposed to start.
