Summary

Karl Rove is a strategist for the Republican Party and a leading party figure in the first decade of the 21st century. Rove was invited to deliver a speech at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst by the UMass and Smith College Republican clubs in April, 2013. However, his appearance on campus provoked massive demonstrations both inside the auditorium where the speech was scheduled to occur and outside of it. Rove had barely begun to speak when he was  shouted down with accusations that his guidance of former President George W. Bush on the Iraq War had led to countless American and Iraqi casualties.
