Summary
On September 10, 2025, conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. He was shot from a rooftop by a sniper while engaging with the audience. The suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was arrested the following day and charged with aggravated murder, firearm offenses, and obstruction of justice. Investigators reported that Robinson held opposing political views to Kirk.
