Summary
In January, 2022, a Dartmouth College Republicans event featuring right-wing journalist and provocateur Andy Ngo was converted from in-person to Zoom due to “safety issues” and online threats from groups such as Northeast Antifa and the Green Mountain John Brown Gun Club. The ruling by the College was railed against by libertarian groups such as The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education. In the aftermath of the event, the Dartmouth College Republicans were, to their chagrin, charged for fees related to security of the event despite the event being moved from in-person to Zoom.
